Community Celebrations – Eid and Christmas Gatherings

Celebrating together is an important way of building community and strengthening connections.

Migrant Haven has organised several community celebration events, bringing people together to mark important cultural and seasonal occasions.

One of these celebrations was an Eid community gathering in Trafford, where individuals and families came together to celebrate, share food, and connect with others in a welcoming environment.

Building on the success of that event, Migrant Haven also organised an Eid celebration in partnership with 1Point in Bolton, which brought together members of the community for a day of connection, conversation, and celebration.

These events provided a space where people could celebrate cultural traditions while also building friendships across communities.

In addition to Eid celebrations, Migrant Haven has also hosted Christmas community gatherings, bringing people together during the festive season to reduce isolation and create a sense of belonging.

For many attendees, these events offered something simple but meaningful: a chance to feel part of a community.

Through shared meals, conversations, and celebrations, these gatherings helped strengthen connections and remind people that they are not alone.
